U13's Blues

17/11/08 - FC Bloxwich Blues 0 v 7 Hednesford Town
For the second successive game, Blues failed to perform and got punished for errors and a lack of organisation. Two own goals did not help the cause. There were a couple of good performances of note from Matt Yarnall and Thomas Thompson.
19/10/08 - Silverdale 8 v 0 FC Bloxwich Blues
Blues suffered their heaviest defeat which could of been so different. The first half saw an entertaining even game with both sides going close but right on half time, the home side scored. Within two minutes of the re-start and Blues fell further behind after poor marking at a corner. It was here that Blues had a lot of pressure but, although coming close, failed to score. The home side then had a spell with 6 goals in 15 minutes to seal victory.
12/10/08 - FC Bloxwich Blues 2 v 1 PRD United
A close game between two of the promoted sides from last season. For the fourth successive league game, the Blues went behind and all but last ditch defending, kept the scores close. The second half saw the Blues come on strong and after Kainth Mole had equalised, the game was going one way. Several chances went close and finally Mole added his and The Blues second to secure victory. Man of the matches were Jay Emery, Sam Dewsbery & jack Crocker who all took a turn in goals as the usual keeper was unavailable.
05/10/08 - FC Bloxwich Blues 6 v 1 Bilbrook Spartans
This 1st round cup game was closer than the scoreline suggests. The Blues had the better of the opening half and when Matt Yarnall burst through to score all was well, however, on the stroke of half time a long clearance allowed the visitors a one on one with the keeper and the scores were level. The second half started with the visitors on top having equalised but they were unable to get the goal they needed and as the half went on The Blues strength shone through. Goals from Kainth Mole (2), Lewis Lloyd (2) and a further one from Yarnall gave The Blues victory.
28/9/08 - Handsworth Utd 1 v 2 FC Bloxwich Blues
This was revenge for last years cup defeat. An injury to The Blues goalkeeper in the warm up meant Oliver Wellings had to take the Gloves and had a very comfortable game. The Blues started slowly and the home side was on top and took the lead when a speculative shot/clearance found the back of the net. However, as the Blues got into their stride, Lewis Lloyd first hit the bar and then followed up a rebound off the goalkeeper to send us in level at half time. The second half was different and with some changes, it wasn't long before Jake Loundes scored to give the Blues victory. They were comfortable for the rest of the game and with a man of the match performance from Jay Emery at left back, the result was never in doubt.
21/9/08 - Pelsall Villa 5 v 0 FC Bloxwich Blues
This was a David vs Goliath encounter with last years Division 1 runners up showing their class. However, for 60 minutes, the Blues competed well and had Jake Loundes goal in the first half been allowed and Kainth Moles second half free kick gone under the bar rather than just over, this game could of been very different. The Blues matched their opponents in the first half on a very hot day, but fell behind when they failed to clear a cross. A slightly unfortunate penalty allowed the home side to take an advantage into half time. The second half saw The Blues withstand a little bit of pressure but with time running out, and tiredness setting in, Pelsall Villa grabbed three late goals.
14/9/08 - FC Bloxwich Blues 2 v 1 Wednesbury Rangers
The first league game of the season saw the blues off to a slow start with the visitors having the better of the play. They deservedly took the lead after a period of pressure. Chances were scarce in the first half for the home side but Lewis Lloyd was able to pounce on a mistake by Wednesbury's keeper to take us in level at the break. The second half saw the home side dominate possession slightly but the away side were always dangerous. It was not until the dying seconds that man of the match Kainth Mole unleashed a powerful shot to give the blues the points. Sam Dewsbery was commanding at the back with several last ditch tackles to ensure the win.
